I recently visited Kyoto Katsu at Suria KLCC and I was impressed. It’s well-positioned in the mall, which makes it really convenient if you’re shopping or visiting the Petronas Towers. What I liked: • The quality of the meat & ingredients is excellent. They offer chicken, seafood, and beef katsu, and everything felt fresh and well-prepared. • The Gyukatsu (striploin beef katsu) was a standout. The outside was beautifully crisp; the inside remained juicy and tender. Finishing it off on the hot plate at the table added a nice touch. • The sides complement the main dish well. The cabbage, rice, and especially the katsu sauce were balanced and tasted authentic. • Atmosphere & service are good. It’s casual but clean, with friendly staff and a menu that clearly explains what you’re getting. What could be better: • Price is a bit on the higher side, especially considering KLCC’s premium. For what you pay, you expect top‐notch in every aspect. • It can get busy during peak lunch or dinner hours, so there might be a wait. Overall: Kyoto Katsu delivers a solid katsu experience right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. If you’re craving good Japanese cutlets and don’t mind spending a little more, this is definitely worth trying.

Food is great. They have free flow miso, cabbage and rice, so you'll be sure to be as full as possible. They also have multiple katsu options including seafood which was great. The katsu itself was thick and juicy. Well fried and delicious. Have to commend the free miso soup. It could be something just a little throwaway, but they have also put in additional things like meat and veggies in them which really elevates the taste.

We had dinner here as my kids love katsu. We enjoyed the food. The rice, miso soup and cabbage are free flow. When we went, there was a 29% discount for Amgus, so we tried it out and it was good. Food is generally pricey at KLCC due to its strategic location.

While the overall meal is perfectly fine, the other menu items don't quite hit the same heights if it is pork. It's the Halal sister brand of Tonkatsu by Ma Maison. However, it’s a great spot for a casual lunch, though the sides feel a bit standard. Come for the katsu, stay for the crunch.

The place is really pretty and the atmosphere is nice, but the tonkatsu portion is quite small. They’re a halal restaurant, which is great, but the overall taste of the food is just okay. The cabbage is refillable, which I appreciate. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Kyoto Katsu Set came with a mixture of chicken, fish & prawn katsu. It was a great choice for an undecided person like me who wanted to try everything! The katsu breading was excellent - crispy & light. The set came with free flow soup, rice and cabbage. For the rice, there was a choice between multigrain or white. Since it was free flow, the staff recommended that I could try the white rice first, and then I asked to try the multigrain later.

Surprisingly, enjoyed the katsu here, after trying out other places. Had the chicken katsu and seafood katsu (fish & prawns). Loved the seafood katsu, especially the fish. They are also generous with their refills for the cabbage. Staff are friendly and attentive, but it can get busy so it can get a little difficult to catch their attention at times. Would most likely come back here again if i'm around and up for some katsu.

What I liked about it : The food taste nice. They also give condiments. : It is design simple but nice. What can be improved : The prices are a bit on the higher side, gjven the order size. : Some crew members did not pay attention at times. If was not crowded when we came, but there were times that we needed to call multiple times before they came to us. Total expense was RM 205 for 2 pax
